Athens Information technology, founded in 2002, is a non-profit Center of Excellence for Research and Graduate Education in the fields of information technology, telecommunications, electronics and technology, and technology management.
AIT alone, and in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government offers Master of Science degrees and a series of executive training programs. It also conducts research in advanced technological fields, has established strong ties with universities and research centers in Greece and abroad, and has positioned itself as the regional hub in the fields of ITC.

AIT houses three state-of-the-art amphitheaters which are distinguished for their versatility and highly trained technical support, and five state-of-the-art laboratories, unique in the region. The building’s distinctive modern internal infrastructure is conducive to hosting conferences/seminars/workshops, lectures, television productions, press conferences, and exhibitions.

Each amphitheater has been specifically designed to provide excellent acoustics. The projection booth, located in the Socrates Amphitheater on the third floor, is made of sound-proof glass and projection of any analog or digital video signals for all three spaces is managed by a professional technician.
