The education activity of AIT is multidimensional. It centers around the areas of Information Networking, Information Technologies and Telecommunications. Through superior teaching and state-of-the-art facilities, AIT provides an exciting and innovative academic environment and provides the following top-level graduate programs:

M.Sc. in Information and Networking (MSIN)
The MSIN program and the associated Carnegie Mellon Degree awarded offer the strongest competitive advantage and the necessary scientific knowledge for a successful professional or academic career in the areas of Information Technology, Telecommunication Networks, Innovation and Technology Management. The program is taught, in part, via a live, real-time link by CMU professors together with AIT’s renowned, adjunct to CMU, professors and researchers who provide additional opportunities for learning and research. AIT’s laboratories and hands-on experience in research and industry projects provide the skills necessary for academia or high-ranking positions in the job market.

The MSIN tuition and other fees at Carnegie Mellon total $69,481. AIT subsidizes 80% of this total for its students in Athens and offers scholarships and financial aid opportunities to all students to cover the balance of 12.000 euros. AIT’s and CMU’s extensive networks in the national and international industry and AIT’s research and academic collaborations with major national and international organizations offer advanced opportunities for students to meet their professional needs or continue towards their PhD. MSIN graduates receive all privileges of CMU Alumni.

The duration of the course is 16 months for full-time students and 32 months for part-time students. Requirements for completion of the program are 5 core, 6 elective courses and the Graduate Project.

M.Sc. in Information and Telecommunications Technologies (MSITT)
The MSITT is an internationally competitive graduate program focusing on the needs of the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) market. It addresses students from diverse backgrounds in science, mathematics and technology and provides the required training and qualification to excel in the job market. The MSITT follows two directions of study: Telecommunications and/or Information Technology. Taking an interdisciplinary approach to Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Telecommunications, the program provides a link to the industry through hands-on training in AIT’s state-of-the-art laboratories.

The MSITT tuition and health insurance total 17.000 euros. AIT subsidizes 48% of this total for its students, whose financial obligations to AIT amount to 8.000 euros. All accepted students are eligible to apply for scholarships and financial aid to cover this remaining amount of 8.000 euros.

MSITT Graduates have the opportunity to participate in research projects, or successfully enter the ICT market through AIT’s national and international industry network. Also, graduates interested in continuing their studies, qualify to apply for a PhD in collaboration with Aalborg University in Denmark or the MSIN CMU program at AIT.

The duration of the course is 12 months for full-time students and 24 months for part-time students. Requirements for completion of the program are 4 core, 4 elective courses and the Graduate Project.

M.Sc. in Management of Business, Innovation and Technology (MBIT)
The MBIT tackles future critical challenges in managing innovation in a globally competitive business environment and addresses the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) industry’s increasing demand for individuals who can combine technical expertise with business skills. It focuses on three critical competencies: strategic management, innovation management, and techno-economic value analysis of new products and services, placing equal emphasis on how to analyze business situations and implement suitable action plans.

The MBIT tuition and health insurance total 19.000 Euros. AIT subsidizes 50% of this total for its students, whose financial obligations amount to 9.500 euros. All accepted students are eligible to apply for scholarships and financial aid to cover this remaining amount of 9.500 euros.

Students will be able to identify key technological trends and disruptive technologies in the ICT industry; evaluate the potential of and develop a complete business plan for a new service or product; manage its production through to mass market acceptance and implementation; and plan for the next generation product in the context of the overall company product portfolio.

To enter the program, prospective students must hold at least a first university degree as well as at least two years of proven work experience.

The duration of the course is 12 months for full-time students and 24 months for part-time students. Requirements for completion of the program are 4 core, 4 elective courses and the Graduate Project.
